1Overview
The Sri Lanka Tourist ETA is an electronic travel authorization required for entry by air, land or sea for tourism, visiting family and friends, medical treatment or cultural events. It is not a full visa.
It permits sightseeing, visiting relatives, medical treatment (including Ayurveda and yoga) and taking part in sporting events, competitions and cultural performances.
Who needs it
- Every eligible traveler needs one, including children; minors can be added as dependents on a parent's application.
- Citizens of Singapore, Maldives and Seychelles are exempt.
- A small number of nationalities cannot use the online route and must apply through a Sri Lankan sponsor.
